We believe that learning to swim is essential and necessary.

  • Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury related death for children ages 1-4. Drowning remains in the top 5 causes of unintentional injury related death from birth to 54 years old.
  • It is estimated that for every fatal drowning victim, another 5 to 10 victims receives hospital related care for non-fatal drowning injuries.
  • Learning to swim can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% for 1-4 year olds who take formal swim lessons.

To save lives, we believe that swim instruction needs to begin.

Safety Precautions

In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and limit exposure to the disease, we will be instituting several safety measures.

  • Students should arrive in their swim suit, ready to swim.
  • One parent/guardian per student can watch lessons
  • Changing room area is for use after lessons
  • Toys and play area will be removed from viewing room to discourage lingering before and after lessons
  • Parents/guardians should make every effort to maintain 6 foot social distancing for themselves and their children while at the swim school outside the swimming pool.
  • Viewing area and restrooms will be cleaned more frequently
  • Private lessons only (siblings OK for semi-private)
  • Chlorine in pool water is known to kill COVID-19 so contact between instructors and students in the pool is presumed safe. We keep our chlorine levels in the pool between 3-5 ppm. Clark County Health District minimum is 1 ppm.
